Working at the Foundation
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation is dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the vibrant cultural traditions of New Orleans and Louisiana. As the nonprofit owner of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, the Foundation invests festival proceeds, and other raised funds, into year-round programs that support local musicians, artists, cultural traditions, and community development.

Working at the Foundation means being part of a passionate team committed to preserving heritage, fostering creativity, and making a lasting impact. Through education, economic development, and cultural programming, we ensure that New Orleans’ and Louisiana’s artistic legacy continues to inspire generations to come. The Foundation produces celebrated events such as the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, Congo Square Rhythms Festival, Treme Creole Gumbo Festival, and the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival while also providing critical support for artists and communities through initiatives like the Jazz & Heritage Concert Series, Community Partnership Grants, and the Catapult Fund Small Business Accelerator. Education remains central to our mission, with the Don ‘Moose’ Jamison Heritage School of Music offering free weekly instruction, along with vocal workshops, beginner music programs, and professional audio training. The Foundation also plays a key role in preserving cultural heritage through the Jazz & Heritage Archive and WWOZ 90.7 FM, ensuring that the stories, sounds, and traditions of Louisiana remain accessible for future generations.

Equal Opportunity Employment
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. We believe that a strong team reflects the diversity of the culture we work to preserve and celebrate.
