Celebrating 17 years, the 2024 Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival will make a triumphant return this fall! The festival will celebrate the soul of the South in music and food, featuring music on two stages, a smorgasbord of barbecue and other delicious smoked treats, and a huge arts market. This Festival takes place Oct. 11–13 in Lafayette Square Park, 540 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70130.

This is a “rain or shine” event.  There will be no refunds for cancellations due to weather.  Previous participation in this festival does not guarantee acceptance. We are now accepting applications for all arts and crafts mediums and disciplines which feature unique and original handmade works, as well as imported goods.

We are looking for a combination of “traditional” Southern barbecue, nontraditional grilled and smoked foods, and other options including vegetarian and vegan dishes.  On-site grilling is encouraged for this festival.

We are looking for vendors who can offer dishes that represent various states, cities, or countries known for a distinct style of barbecue – such as Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kansas City, Korea, Jamaica, etc. Louisiana, too.

You don’t have to be based in New Orleans, or even in Louisiana, to apply for a vending spot. And you don’t have to be from the place you want to represent – you just have to be great at it. All vendors selected will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging if not based in New Orleans.

All vendors will be permitted to sell up to three main dishes plus two side dishes. All entree dishes and side dishes must be available on an “a la carte” basis – allowing customers to mix and match main dishes and side dishes from different vendors.

Only restaurants or caterers who are fully licensed, permitted and insured for selling food to the public in Orleans Parish will be considered.

Vendors will be chosen based on several criteria; wholesome food that is made from scratch, how well they fit into the festival’s theme, who can collectively offer the greatest assortment of food samplings, (which include other options including vegetarian and vegan dishes),  and of course food that is made with love. No carnival-type food will be considered.  Vendors will also agree to refrain from using monosodium glutamate(MSG) as well as High Fructose Corn Syrup in their recipes.

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 12, 2024

There is no fee to apply. Those accepted into the festival will pay a booth rental fee of $1650 plus a refundable litter/damage deposit of $500.   All fees must be paid and contracts must be signed no later than two weeks prior to the festival.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any application. Submission of this application and previous participation does not guarantee acceptance.

All applicants will receive notices about whether or not they are invited to participate and those accepted will receive a contract to confirm their participation. Previous participation in this festival does not guarantee acceptance.

Dessert Vendors

If you are a dessert or pastry vendor, please make a note of this in your application, as your menu will not be held to comparable restrictions, and your contract will be different. The booth fee for dessert vendors is $500.  You will need to supply your own 10×10 tent. Please proceed with filling out the application.

Hot/Savory Food Vendors, before proceeding to the application, please read the Food Vendor Information Guide which explains in detail all that is required before you can be accepted to vend with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
